Students learn how chemical composition affects product performance, stability, and safety, gaining insight into how ingredients interact with the skin to support cleansing, hydration, exfoliation, and rejuvenation.

Ingredient Analysis and Safe Product Selection. A strong focus is placed on ingredient labeling, formulation basics, and understanding concentration levels and compatibility. Students develop the ability to identify key actives such as acids, antioxidants, enzymes, and botanical extracts, while recognizing potential irritants and contraindications. This knowledge ensures informed product selection within the esthetic scope of practice.
